Alexis Gallery, Lagos, recently showed"Fate" an art exhibition of painting and mixed media by five young Nigerian
artists. The exhibition opened at 282 Akin Olugbade Street, Off Idowu Martins Street, Victoria
Island, Lagos.
The artists are Henry
Akhile, Tyna Adebowale, Darlington Chukwumezie, Raji Mohammed and Yemi Uthman. They
will be showcasing their recent works which are about 40. Art lovers and collectors are invited to view
the works.
The exhibition curator and
gallery owner, Mrs Patty Chidiac said the gallery has signed a contract with
the artists as artists are complaining that galleries “don’t represent them
properly.” She said the gallery will promote the artists and their works both
home and abroad.
The exhibition was supported by: Leventis, litho-chrome, Veuve
Clicquot
Ponsardin, Cool TV, Wazobia TV, Cool fm, Info Lagos, Wazobia fm, Arra Wines,
the Venue suites, nova internet solutions, Chocolate Royal, the Homestores and Art
Café, Alexis Galleries.
I love the works of these talented young artists.
