Writers meet this Saturday
A new gathering of writers, WIN, is to hold its
second monthly meeting on Saturday, April 14. It is a forum for writers to
share their passion and belong to a family of closely-knit writers with
opportunities for fellowships and residencies at home and abroad.
The meeting is to hold at QuickSpace Hall, 44,
Community Rd, Off Allen Avenue-Ikeja at 12noon.
New members are welcome.
How We Finally Die opens at the National Museum
How We Finally Die, an exhibition of
remarkable paintings by contemporary Nigerian artist Akintunde Odesola with
disturbing images of children visibly ravaged by hunger and destitution
occasioned by war and civil unrest. Also with iconic figures like Maya Angelou,
Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Chinua Achebe and so on, opens on Saturday, April 21 by 2:00pm at National Museum,
Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria.
