Never bought a piece of art before? Mydrim Gallery is the
place to be for art lovers on Friday, June 3, as over 2000 variety artworks, by
38 artists, will be featured at their Affordable
Art Show. The price of the works ranges
from N5,000 to N250,000.
The owner of the gallery, Mrs. Sinmidele Adesanya,
said the aim is to
make art affordable for individuals who wish to own an artwork, whatever the budget or taste. The Art fair will feature a selection of
various media from mainly artists who just left school five years ago,
including works by living legend, Bruce Onobrakpeya.

Adesanya said the fair also aims to develop
the career of the young artists whose will be participating in art fair as well
as to encourage The fair closes on Saturday, June 18, 2016. “Come
and buy art and you will enjoy the ecstatic of the work.
She said the Affordable Art Show will be an opportunity and
a rewarding experience for young art collectors who will be buying their first
artwork.
“We
are trying to get young people to buy artworks, something of value,” she said.
Aside Onobrakpeya, other
artistes who will be participating are Joshua Nmesirionye, Johnson Uwadinma,
Chinedu Ogakwu, Olufemi Kayode, Chisom Okeke, Chinedu Uzoma, Salako Olajide,
Blessing Joejim, Seye Morankinyo, Gerald Ike Chiemezie, and Olufemi Oyewole
among others.
