Alexis Gallery presents this year’s Fate art exhibition on Saturday 12, September, holding at 282 Akin Olugbade Street, Off Idowu Martins, Victoria Island Lagos. It is expected to feature seven artists and a guest artist.
The gallery owner and exhibition curator, Mrs Patty Mastroginnis made the declaration at recently press conference held at the Homestores in Victoria Island, Lagos. She said Fate is about destiny,which explains the reason the artists are in joint exhibition through fate and doing the show together.
The mixed media, installation, drawing and painting exhibition
will explore subject matter is divers-portraits, landscapes, and scene from
everyday life coexist with impressionism, abstract, figures and realistic
subjects. Fate focuses on world peace
which the artists captured with their works, featuring over 40 works by George Edozie, Stanley Dudu, Darlington
Chukwumezie, Afeez Adetunji, Ike Gerald
Chiemezie, Seye Morakinyo, Henry Akhile
and Adeyemi Uthman.
Fate
will be holding annually according to Mastroginnis, adding that the gallery is
committed to providing
unique exhibition opportunities for younger artists. She further added that annual exhibition will
be used to introduce new artists and promotes the ones signed Alexis Gallery.
However, they are no longer signing in more
artists for now in order to reduce the work load of managing the large number
of indoor house artists under it.
The exhibition will remain open for public viewing
till Friday 19th September. It
