The
Society of Nigerian Artists, Abuja Chapter, is asking the general public to
assist Udeh Edwin Ikenna, who has been bedridden for about two years.
Ikenna needs
a sum of 1.9 million Naira to undergo a spinal cord surgery. This plea is
coming through the Chairman of SNA, Abuja Chapter, Tochukwu M. Okide.
The statement
says: “Please, help save the life of a colleague, a friend, a brother and a humble artist. Nothing is too big and nothing is too small. The
surgery will take place either at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu or 82
Division Hospital, Enugu.”
Some funds
have already been raised by SNA FCT and China Alumini members for Ikenna but more is still needed.
