Olusegun Adejumo Brings a 2005 Migration Story Into View With "Migration of the Unlucky"
Two decades after completing it, Nigerian artist Olusegun Adejumo is showing Migration of the Unlucky to the public for the first time. The mixed-media piece was finished around 2005 and has remained out of view ever since, part of a small, recently rediscovered body of work from that period in his practice.

Nigerian Art's Big Shows to End the Year, From Lagos to New York and Beyond
Between now and December, artists and galleries with roots in Nigeria will appear at some of the world's major art events, from Lagos, Venice and New York to London, Paris and Abu Dhabi. The work ranges from the experimental Oshogbo workshops of the 1960s to recent practices shaped by migration, textiles, waste and memory, with Lagos gallery kó featuring prominently in several of the international presentations.
