Three contemporary Nigeria artists, Uchay Joel
Chima, Obinna Makata and Lekan Onabanjo, gave out an artwork each in support of
Standard Chartered Bank’s Seeing is
Believing, a charity which works to tackle avoidable blindness.
Sound of Abundance by Chima, a 36 x 36 mixed media on
canvas, produced in 2015, Occupy Street
Wall II by Makata is a 47 x47 work, also a mixed media on canvas, produced
in 2015 and Makoko Series by Onabanjo, a watercolour work,
which is an 11 x 16 in size, produced in 2010, were the works auction on Monday, May 9, 2016, by Arthouse Auction House in Lagos, Nigeria.
